  33. he ALV toolkit is a collection of programs supporting image processing
  34. esearch on Sun workstations. It uses the standard Sun rasterfile
  35. ormat allowing images of variable size and depth. Programs exist for
  36. eneral manipulation of images and to display them on various devices.
  37. urrent hardware supported is Sun3 (most models) running SunOS 3.2 or
  38. igher together with an optional Postscript laser printer
